Engineering Missions International (EMI) is providing the construction design services for Phase I of the LivingStone infrastructure and campus.
EMI provides design, engineering, and disaster relief services to the developing countries free of charge. Design and engineering professionals donate their skills and time to a project coordinated by EMI.
From their website -
Engineering Ministries International (EMI) is a
non-profit Christian development organization made up of architects, engineers and design professionals who donate their skills to help children and families around the world step out of poverty and into a world of hope.
Seventeen volunteers from three countries will meet in Mbale. The trip will consist of developing the programming for the campus and it's first buildings. This involves making many decisions about what will be needed and desired in campus facilities. It is an highly colaborative effort involving decision makers from LivingStone, the project architects, land use planners, and many other project stakeholders.
We pray to God for the wisdom and knowledge that will be necessary to make good decisions on this crucial phase of the project. Decisions made at this time will have ramifacations for this and future projects.
Please pray for the safe travel and well being of all the volunteers. As well, pray for a successful trip where all team members have an opportunity to glorify God and have Him bless each member with a life-changing experience.
