The LivingStone International University Donation Project to Child Restoration Outreach (CRO) Mbale branch came into existence in the year of 2012. It’s a charity program designed by the first Mass Communication class of 2012 after the humble photography study tour that was made to CRO. Students felt there was need for this project.
On the other hand, CRO was founded in 1992, and it has been working to support street children and their families in over four districts throughout Uganda, including Mbale.
Therefore, LIU donation project to CRO, is a nonprofit and voluntary program meant to extend our ardent love and care to the less privileged Street Children, who are rehabilited and taken care of at CRO. We offer our humble donations to them in form of any amount of Ugandan money, clothes, shoes, and scholastic materials. Most importantly, we stand in the gap of praying for the perfect will of God to be done in their lives, and those taking care of them.
Since the collection process takes a little longer time, we chose to have it done on a semester basis to allow all the well-wishers of this project to donate basing on their convenient time. The collection process is done all semester long and everything is submitted to CRO before the end of the semester.
This project however couldn’t have been a success without the kind hearts of the staff members, students and all the well-wishers who have been behind every humble donation. After combining everything we get from these people, we find something worth donating to the CRO family. Our sincere appreciation goes to members of staff, student fraternity, and well-wishers for their willingness to stand with CRO through this project
Looking at Proverbs 3:27, the Bible says, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it”. We glorify the name of the Most High through giving to CRO, keeping in mind that God will also give His grace and blessing where due.
Remember, you may save a dying soul, and that soul would save a nation. God Bless us all as we tirelessly and willingly donate to CRO.
